What types of seeds can I use with the Sprout kit?
SproutEase is designed to support the germination of a wide variety of seeds — including vegetables, herbs, flowers, and specialty plants. If a seed requires a warm, moist, and stable environment to sprout, Sprout will help it thrive.
Is the Sprout kit reusable?
Yes! Most components of the Sprout kit — like the germination box, tweezers, heater mat, and dry erase marker — are fully reusable. You’ll just need to refresh your growing medium (coco coir or another medium) for each new batch of seeds.
How many seeds can I germinate at once?
Each of the nine compartments of the germination box can comfortably accommodate 30-40 seeds depending on seed size and how much space you leave between each seedling for optimal growth.
Is the heater mat safe to leave on continuously?
Yes. Our seedling heater mat is designed for continuous use, maintaining a safe, steady temperature ideal for germination. Always follow the included instructions for best safety practices.
Why include hydrogen peroxide?
We include a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution to help sterilize your growing equipment and increase seed germination rates. This reduces the risk of mold, bacterial growth, and other common problems during germination — leading to healthier, stronger sprouts.
Does the kit come with seeds?
No, seeds are not included. Sprout is designed to work with a wide range of seeds, giving you the freedom to choose exactly what you want to grow!
How do I clean the Sprout kit between uses?
Simply wash the germination box and tweezers with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow them to dry. You can also lightly disinfect them with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution for extra cleanliness.
Where do you ship?
We ship to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico using USPS.
Do you offer any guarantee?
We stand behind our product. If your Sprout kit arrives damaged or incomplete, we'll make it right. Simply contact us within 30 days of receiving your kit, and we'll replace the affected items.
Can the filter paper be reused?
Yes, but as soon as you see the filter paper degrading, you should replace it with a fresh square. Coffee filter paper trimmed to size or a folded in half section of standard 11" x 5.7" paper towel can be used.
How do I know when my seeds are ready to plant?
As soon as you see a tap root forming, your seeds are ready to plant!
